CHARACTER INFORMATION
NAME: Ibaraki Douji
CANON: Fate/Grand Order
CANON REFERENCE: Wiki Entry
CANON POINT: Start of Olympus
CRAU HISTORY: N/A
AGE: 18 in appearance
APPEARANCE: A young girl with bright, blonde hair that would otherwise be perpetually on fire, and yellow eyes. As well as a third eye on her forehead and a pair of sharp horns. She stands only at around 147cm with crimson hands and feet, fingers topped with sharp nails and a mouthful of fangs. Image
CONTRACT PAYMENT: The happiness of her beloved Shuten-Douji.
QUESTIONNAIRE:
1- An enemy of your faction has asked for a meeting, proposing a truce of sorts to deal with a greater threat. On one hand, there is indeed a threat at hand, but on the other, this person double-crossing you is just as likely an outcome. Do you agree to the meeting? Do you trust them?
I would hear their words if I must. But I hold no promises of reaching any accord with them! Such a thing would be truly foolish and inviting only betrayal. It would be far better to simply rend them asunder and toss them aside. No, no truce can be made until they are forced to bend to my will. Until they are thoroughly beaten into submission or decimated! Only then may an enemy be considered peaceful and able to uphold their end.
I would consider them to think the same as me. To contemplate how to best dominate the other party and bring them to surrender absolutely. No questions, no hesitation. To be completely broken and ready to accept whatever fate I wish for them.. Only I would never bend or be defeated! Such is my way and that of all oni. You either stand and continue to fight, or you die to those stronger than yourself. In such a world there can be no true trust without strength backing your words. Without arms to hold them up, or fear to keep them from breaking your trust.
2- How do you react to betrayal? How severe must a betrayal be for you to consider it such?
Any and all forms of betrayal, no matter how slight, is still a betrayal. It doesn’t matter how much or little was taken from me. All that matters is that they had the nerve to go against me, turn against me! That is an unforgivable act and must be met with righteous retribution. But I am still bound by the expectations as one who has united the oni of Ooe under one banner. Therefore, the retribution must come as one befitting the betrayal.
An attempt to usurp me? Death!
Stealing treasure from me? Torture until near death!
Speaking ill of me so that others will doubt my rule? Beaten until near death and exile!
Refusing my orders? Beaten and sent into a stockade until further notice!
Breaking any minor rules? Getting spanked with an iron rod!
No, I will not tolerate betrayal in the slightest, not from anyone! Mother has taught me that in order to achieve my place as a ruler among oni I must act decisively and with as much brutality as I can muster. With as much finality as I can create! And in a world where all will betray you, such a lesson is one that I have taken to heart. And one which I have experienced all too well in the world that I had lived. Where one should expect poisoned betrayal at ever step. To expect one brute after another feebly attempt to challenge your might.
Those who slight you must be made to understand your willingness to express your strength so that others may not follow them.
3- What are your greatest regrets, if you have any? What would you have done differently?
…Not telling Shuten no on that night. Tch, if I had put my foot down and refused her her whims perhaps things would have ended differently for us. Instead, instead I lost her and everyone else, or home… and even my arm briefly. While I doubt I’d have been able to stop her, at the very least I could have said I did make the attempt. In the end- In the end I still gave in for her once more.
Just so she could have her fun.
I would have barred her from that poisoned drink that ended everything. I would have placed my foot down as firm as I was able to! Had I known the treachery that awaited us I could have. I should have known but instead I still allowed it. My biggest regret is, and always has been, being unable to tell Shuten no. And yet, I don’t believe I would be able to do so still. Even knowing the outcome of me bending to her whims. It’s odd but… I simply cannot refuse her. Even at the cost of everything.
4- What is your favorite diversion? Hobbies, indulgences, vices? Would you put off important things for that diversion, or would you be more strict about how you spend your time and/or money?
Whatever you can imagine! My favorites often include food; sweets, delicacies, snacks, as long as it tastes good then I shall claim all of it for myself! Of course, as a great and fierce oni I would make them a priority, the TOP priority! Everything else is secondary to it, everyone else is secondary to my enjoyment of sweets, meat, and drink! Not even the pleasures of the flesh can compare to the pleasures of the tongue. Indeed, it is not unheard of me to pursue mountains of the delicious treats known as “macaroons”. Admittedly to my detriment and at times placing me in debt to the Green Man…
Fufu… but it is all worth it when I am able to bite into those mouthwatering, colorful, Western treats. To taste their varied flavors as I bury my mighty fangs into their flesh. Yes, it is well known in Chaldea that, to obtain my favor, one must offer me such sweet treats! And more than one that has discovered this have brought before many bountiful tributes. Mountains of chocolates, macaroons, sake, meat…! [A cocky smirk works itself on her lips.]
Perhaps even those lowly youkai here may also fall into my graces should they present me with such gifts! Ah- such is the delight of being a powerful oni such as myself~!
POWERS & ABILITIES:
Strength: As a servant and oni her strength is well above average. Able to life and carry objects well above her own weight. As well as punch whole craters with her fists alone.
Madness Enhancement B (berserk): Characterizes her ability to go berserk as a berserker servant. It highlights her own blind rage and greatly enhances her strength and endurance. But at the cost of her sanity and ability to reason. When berserking she is largely unable to be reasoned with until she calms down.
Mana Burst (Oni-kind Demon): Ibaraki is a natural heat sink when it comes to drawing in mana and energy, using it to increase her body’s endurance and strength, while also expelling it around herself as literal flames and heat. Which she can command and manipulate for whatever uses she desires. When given sufficient enough power she can use it to take on the form of a large oni created of pure flames that scorch and glass everything around her.
Shapeshift A: She can change her physical appearance based on whatever takes her fancy or whatever the situation calls for. Whether that’s as a giant, a fierce samurai, a child, or a beautiful maiden. It’s something that she takes great pride in and enjoys using.
Disengage A: An ability that lets her withdraw from combat and expel whatever ailments she might have picked up, or wounds that she might have. It’s a bit of a nod to her legends describing her as a master thief.
Curse immunity: Implied by her wielding a sword, crafted from the bones of demons and imbued with countless curses, that only an oni can use. That said, in game effects such as curses can be applied to her, but she usually just shrugs it off with her disengage ability.
Noble Phantasm: These are essentially her trump card and require a lot of mana in order to use. But the cost is worth it, especially when facing insurmountable odds.
- Great Grudge of Rashoumon
o ”Kehehe… The right arm that I once lost to fiendish schemes is no back as a monstrosity! Go, Sogen-bi! The Great Grudge of Rashomon!”
This is the hand that she had lost to Watanabe-no-Tsuna, and eventually reclaimed. Normally it’s just a normal arm attached to her. However, she is able to detach it and have it fly around under her control. Wrapped in the incredibly hot flames that she commands and growing ever larger in size. The arm is capable of burning away whatever gets in its way, destroying whatever status buffs the target might have and turning them to ash as it crushes them in its mighty fist.
Most of all of these are going to be blocked off, though I would ask her to keep her Madness Enhancement B. Due to it being part of who she is. With the main takeaway being that she is not granted any of the advantages she might have otherwise. Just her losing it in the heat of the moment and acting uncontrollable.
SUITABILITY: While not quite at the level of her beloved Shuten, Ibaraki has been taught since a young age how to best emulate what an oni should be. Violent, temperamental, taking whatever she wants, whenever she wants, doing whatever she wants. To destroy, kill, steal, and exploit whenever possible. And if not possible, to make it so. All these so-called “lessons” often came with them abuse from her mother. A noblewoman that had laid the responsibilities of leading the oni squarely on Ibaraki’s shoulders. By and large Ibaraki is filled with anger, resentment, hatred, and a desire to jealously claim whatever she views as hers.
Anger and resentment towards her mother and those humans who sought to eradicate her oni clan. Hatred to everything that causes that anger and resentment and the desire to destroy whatever she’s directing that hatred towards.
While at a glance she has a relatively cute appearance, beyond that she is still an oni by nature; and one who is very much aware of the duties that are placed on her. She does take law and order into account, it’s also not unheard of for her to respect them. Coming from a position where she was expected to organize unruly, and violent oni into their own clan. But she also has the duality of being chaotic, shirking off duties in favor of pursuing her own beliefs on what she feels is her oni nature. She is a girl that enjoys sweets, but also devours humans, bathes in their blood. She rapes, pillages, steals, spreads fear and misery to any unlucky enough to get caught in her path when the mood strikes her. Ibaraki herself doesn’t completely understand the concept of love. Which is to say, what she believes to be love is more that of one who keeps another close and closed off from others. Those that happen to also catch her interest may expect to be guarded over, to be showered with whatever she feels would be a form of affection towards them. Whether that’s gifts, food, or pleasure; but these are often given out with the knowledge that the person in question is hers, and hers alone.
In short, Ibaraki will not blink over any of the aspects of hell beyond the cityscape (which will confuse her initially). It’s more likely that she will become rather annoyed by the whole ordeal, and will instead seek to lash out at any and all she feels will have slighted her. In particular she won’t be too thrilled over the idea of some upstarts using her beloved Shuten’s name for their clan. Especially not when she learns that it isn’t Shuten that is heading it, and will often seek to challenge the oni belonging to that clan. Perhaps to the point where she will brush off whatever duties she might be given in order to do so.
FACTION SUITABILITY:
Shuten: A clan of oni baring Shuten’s name? But not led by Shuten…? That’s unforgivable! Not only that but it’s being led by Toraguma of all people, the idea alone is enough to get Ibaraki’s blood to boil with hot anger and for her to potentially not play along and go off to do her own thing. That said, Ibaraki does embody the ideal of do what thou wilt and live life deliciously. Being how she is, Ibaraki is one that enjoys power, having it, throwing it around and showing off her own strength and prowess. Even more, she’s a gluten, a thief, and one that has no qualms over spoiling for a fight. Especially when she feels as though she has the upper hand or regrouping until she does have the upper hand. Having been the former leader of the Mt. Ooe clan, she is also for making certain that rules are followed for the betterment of the clan.
Tamamo: She isn’t much of one for the notion of liberal ecstasy (she’ll claim that’s more Shuten’s shtick). But Ibaraki certainly is not opposed to such things, given part of her myth had been the seduction of Tsuna and her description as a beautiful woman, she is no stranger to sexual bliss. Further, her general enjoyment of food and drink, along with being beside Shuten, are her own versions of bliss. So she gets the overall draw, and might find some enjoyment in it. While she’s more likely to lose her temper and patience and cause trouble, Ibaraki could be argued to be a potentially great hostess. Having even ran a “tea stand” (it was sake) with Shuten once before. She is no stranger to service, giving or receiving.
Enma: Oddly enough, despite her chaotic nature, Ibaraki does have a sense of order. She just simply prefers to do as she wants. From her upbringing and education under noble mother, to her goal of uniting oni under one banner, Ibaraki knows and understands the importance of creating and maintaining a set of rules and order within society. This could actually make her out to be a potentially decent enforcer of the local laws and order that the Enma wish to pursue. She is also very much fine with using any and all underhanded means to enforce the law, as well as more forceful means. That said, she ultimately always acts on her own volition, doing what she feels is best or what she wants to in that point of time. Ibaraki doesn’t particularly care for bloated systems in general and will instead actively seek to simply deal with the matter personally, swiftly, and at times brutally.
Sutoku: Ibaraki has her moments of cunning, you don’t get to be known as a famous thief if you’re not! Again, from her upbringing and life she understands the necessity of banding together and using information. Gaining information, and through that control over others. While she’d much rather take a more direct approach to things, the oni does appreciate a bit of the quieter side of sabotage. Taking joy out of tricking others simply because she’s bored. She’s not much of one for finances but knows enough to keep things running. At the same time the notion of keeping things from going under at a moments notice, to keep yourselves from being consumed by a seemingly unstoppable tide holds a certain draw to the oni.

Character: Ibaraki Douji
Canon: Fate/Grand Order
Canon point: Post Lost Belt 3
OU or AU?: OU
Age: 1000+
Species: Oni/Servant
« RECORD »
Disposition:
Oni: A large part of what makes Ibaraki, Ibaraki is what she believes constitutes as being an oni. She acts accordingly to such beliefs that had been taught to her by an abusive mother. Making her short tempered, selfish, and a general distrust of others. A being that hungers for human flesh and would be more than happy to devour anyone unlucky enough to be caught by her. All mixed with the knowledge that with her mother’s bloodline it would be up to her to lead and organize her fellow oni to give her some sense of pride that forces her to strive to emulate the ideals placed on her. All of which culminates into her being an unlikely leader of otherwise ruthless and self-serving creatures. One that managed to organize and bring them together into a force capable of threatening Kyoto itself.
Selfish: Part of Ibaraki’s whole nature as an oni is that she tends to act on her more selfish desires. Thinking largely on how to help herself and what she wants and needs over what others want and need; and is not above simply walking away if a situation does not interest her (something that was mentioned to have occurred in the Babylonia chapter). Or at least, that is how she acts to those outside of her immediate circle of friends and allies. While those close to her can generally expect the same mindset of her putting herself first, for a scant handful (namely Shuten and her Master) they can expect her to show some compassion and thought to them. Granted that this could also be a result of her viewing them as belonging to her.
Violent: She tends to act first before thinking. While this is largely due to her nature as a berserker, it also calls into what she believes an oni should be. Brash, straightforward, quick to anger, and violent in her anger. She has anger issues, potentially stemmed from an equally angry and violent mother, and can lash out if provoked.
Thief: Of Ibaraki’s many exploits, she is noted to having been a master thief and pillager. Women, treasures, food, and everything in between were stolen by her and her band of oni from the nation’s capital. She has a tendency of taking things that do not belong to her, no matter what they might be and how much she wants it. It is again, her attempting to act out the part of what she thinks makes an oni an oni.
Shuten Douji: Her sworn sister, partner in crime and the one she would give anything for. Shuten is what Ibaraki believes an oni should be, pleasure seeking, ruthless, with a twisted sense of love and cunning that would send Ibaraki’s head spinning. Out of everyone in the world that Ibaraki herself would consider to precious, it is the other oni she holds on a pedestal above all else. To the point where it is largely unhealthy. For as much as she adores Shuten, it was she that would cause Ibaraki’s eventual downfall. Potentially highlighting Ibaraki’s own inability to determine whether a relationship is toxic because of the abuse she felt as a child. And the continuing perceived cruelty of the world that wishes to exterminate her and her fellow oni.
Suitability: She won’t be too thrilled initially, viewing it all as more of a prison, that’s not to say that Ibaraki wouldn’t take the time to enjoy herself; particularly with whatever vices she might be able to find in the city. In particular, she would be rather fascinated with the concept of manna, though that by itself would not be all too unfamiliar to her. Given that servants in the Fate verse use something similar as fuel, while mages use it to help power spells. While perhaps also initially reluctant to perform to perform anything related to Synchrony, especially with others she might have only just met, Ibaraki will still understand the basic need to do so; especially as it pertains to the generation of Manna. Being a natural heat sink when it comes to her world’s mana (literally possessing so much of it that it is expelled from her body in the form of literal fire), Ibaraki can be expected to seek out Manna when and where she can. While also being hedonistic in nature, she still knows how to pace herself and will do the best she can to avoid both hunger and addiction.
Beyond that, Ibaraki may also find herself being rather amused the bodily transformations. Being able to shapeshift herself in canon, Ibaraki will most likely view it as simply being an extension of her abilities. She could also be expected to make the attempt to master her gem’s abilities as well. In her mind it would be foolish not to do so. As for the natives, Ibaraki most certainly couldn’t give a hoot about them, and would also be hard-pressed to care much for her fellow gembonded beyond viewing them as potential sources for Manna. Save for a potential handful that might end up catching her interest (whether or not that would be a good thing would depend on the person).
Condition upon arrival: Ibaraki will be in peak condition and ready to rock and roll!
Abilities:
Strength: As a servant and oni her strength is well above average. Able to life and carry objects well above her own weight. As well as punch whole craters with her fists alone.
Madness Enhancement B (berserk): Characterizes her ability to go berserk as a berserker servant. It highlights her own blind rage and greatly enhances her strength and endurance. Curse immunity: Implied by her wielding a sword, crafted from the bones of demons and imbued with countless curses, that only an oni can use.
Inventory: The clothes on her back and her bone sword
Gembond: Amethyst
Gem Location: Back of her left hand.
Sample: TDM
Notes: Purposefully mischievous. Decided to go berserk deliberately. These contradictions accurately encapsulate the essence of Ibaraki Douji. She's not used to being around humans, but she will approach if you offer her sweets.
